Exciting Opportunities Ahead at Fintech Meetup 2024

The fintech ecosystem continues to grow in Atlantic Canada. As market dynamics like open banking, embedded finance and further digitalization of the financial industry and financial processes continue to press forward, there are a growing number of companies in Atlantic Canada poised to have significant impact and opportunity.

To further accelerate growth in the region, Atlantic Fintech will be leading a group of eight companies from Atlantic Canada to attend Fintech Meetup from March 3rd to March 6th, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show provides companies from Atlantic Canada opportunities to connect with decision makers, partners, customers and investors from top companies within the financial industry. The attendees of the conference span the fintech industry, representing technologies that range from personal finance to lending and credit, to blockchain, payments, and data analysis, among many others.

Companies from across Atlantic Canada attending this year’s mission include:

·       Jybe: Jybe is a BNPL service that helps consumers access their digital subscriptions for the cheapest possible monthly price!

·       PayTic: Save Millions of Dollars. Save Thousands of Hours. Grow Your Card Programs.

  • Borderless Finance: Secured credit for a stronger credit score and a brighter future

  • MESH / diversity: The future of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) technology tailored for forward-thinking HR teams.

In 2023, Atlantic Fintech led a mission to the conference, which saw 174 meetings for the delegation, with long-term sales potential over $6-million dollars. Atlantic Canadian companies identified potential partners, suppliers, service providers and investors at the conference.

"Fintech Meetup surpassed my expectations completely. At Fintech Meetup, we were able to establish valuable new connections that continue to positively impact the trajectory of our business today.", said Jane Crowell, CEO, CapFi and President, East Bay Tech Lab. CapFi and East Bay Tech Lab will be joining the mission yet again this year to further capitalize on connections and opportunities.

Atlantic Fintech, as it strives to strengthen the connectivity of the fintech sector across Atlantic Canada and highlight the region’s companies within the global industry, is grateful for the financial support available, in part, through the Atlantic Trade and Investment Growth Agreement between the Government of Canada and the governments of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.

“This show is a continuation of the efforts of Atlantic Fintech to connect and grow the fintech ecosystem in Atlantic Canada. Fintech Meetup is an excellent opportunity to further connect Atlantic Canada with the global financial industry, and we are excited to see the continued growth of fintech in Atlantic Canada.”, said Alicia Roisman Ismach. “We look forward to attending the conference and building many strong relationships to help grow Atlantic Canada.”
